Nathan - Do without my love.
This is the original video for Nathan - Do without my love. It is very simple, cheap and home based. In the video he does a lot of lip syncing, and some dancing. There isn't the typical women running around after him, although there is very small clips (literally seconds) of his face being projected on a womans belly.
This video has clear sense of amplification, as what he is doing is contradicting with the lyrics, and introducing a new meaning. Our music video will differ, as we want to come across with disjunture, where there is little connection between the lyrics and the video. Our video will not relate to the lyrics, and also will not have a narrative.
We have decided to go forward with disjuncture as it give us a much more open ideas to explore, we wouldn't be restricted to follow the lyrics or create a narrative. Going forward with disjuncture, we do not have to worry about whether what we are doing relates to the song, we do not have to be so concious about every move we make, and decide on. We will still follow the traditions of the genre being soft R'n'B/Pop, including dancing, and different area of space, just really trying to pull together all the great resources we have in London that people don't realise.
