The first lesson of A2 we looked at ‘function of a music video’, we were discussing in groups ‘what makes a music video’ ‘how does a music video differ from conventional broad cast narratives?’. In groups we discussed what makes a music video which is the music, the artist, the setting, editing, mise-en-scene, camera and sound.
We stated that the function of a music video is to promote the song, the album, to show the genre, promote the artist and also to entertain, it also wants us the audience to remember the song.
