After watching our rough cut, even though we knew we had many improvements to make Annabel and Mary as our teachers gave us things to work on, edit better, and take away a few things. Below are shots which our teachers were not sure of. First shot, top left hand corner of myself and Karen was commented on negatively due to the fact it looks slightly odd, however we think the shot is effective. Top right hand corner of Samarge in Ally Pally was pointed out due to the fact that it was shot too far away so his lip syncing couldn't be seen properly. The bottom left hand corner one of Samarge at night in the rain was said to be too dark and looked out of place within the other shots. The final shot similar to the one above it was too far away also, however we wanted to keep the long shots because they were the only ones we had.
Also another thing we had to think very carefully upon and we still don't know whether to do it or not, but our teacher advised us to take a few extreme close ups, or close ups of our artist as they are the particular shots we are lacking. These close ups are essential as it gives the video variety and allows the audience to engage with the artist. Here is an example:
