Beyonce's and Shakira's 'Beautiful liar' video inspired myself and Karen for simple yet appealing dance movies for our music video. Sticking to Goodwin's theory we wanted the 'typical' girly dancers performing, however we didn't want to promote the 'women are objects' point of view, how they're only there for their looks, like sexual objects. Instead of wearing the usual skimpy bikini or as less clothing as possible we wore leggins and a tshirt.
Me and Karen carried out AS dance course together and have been very close since we started City and Islington college. We have a very close bond and we understand eachother, we can have a laugh but at the same time we know when to concentrate and be punctual, on time to every rehearsal and filming session.
