As our song Nathan- Do without my love, is a very soft r&b based genre, it attracts both females and males is the theme is love, and leaving someone, or being left. Artists such as Chris Brown, Drake, Olly Murs, boy band JLS and many more male musicians have such iconic and attention grabbing album covers. I have researched my favourite ones to give me inspiration when making my own one, here are some videos and information i have collected.
Chris Brown: Graffiti.
Graffiti is the third studio album by American r&b and pop recording artist Chris Brown. It is the follow-up to his successful second album Exclusive in 2007. The album was produced during 2008 to 2009 by several record producers, including Polow Da Don, Swizz Beatz, The Runners, and Brian Kennedy. Primarily an R&B and pop outing, Graffiti incorporates elements of electro-pop and hip hop music with synthesizers and electronic-influenced beats. To the right is a chart witch newspapers and magazines have rated his album. As you can see he wears a blazer, black tight trousers, tight t-short and military style boots, giving him a professional yet simple look, something we wish to have on our cover.
It followed a lot of negative criticismas well as positivity. Below is a snippet of all the songs on the tracklist.
Bruno Mars: Doo-Wops and Hooligans.
Doo-Wops & Hooligans is the debut studio album by Hawaiian singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, released on October 4, 2010. Doo-Wops & Hooligans charted at number three on the Billboard 200 and in the top ten in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand. Its title refers to doo-wop music and was chosen to reflect simplicity, as well as appeal to both males and females. As of October 2011 the album has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. The usage of a wide variety of influences was noted by critics, with musical comparisons made to Michael Jackson and Jason Mraz. I loved the songs' catchy nature, as well as their carefree lyrics. Below are some comments i researched on itunes of this album.
Travie Mccoy: Lazarus.
Lazarus debuted at number twenty-five on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart with sales of 15,000 copies. The lead single from the album was "Billionaire", which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. The songs "Need You" and "We'll Be Alright" have also been released as singles. Critical response to the album has been mixed to positive, with most critics praising the album's upbeat songs yet criticizing the overabundance of featured collaborations.
