This is a brief outline of the 'do's' and 'don'ts':
DO'S
- use a clear font and appropriate SIZE for images and fonts
- clear photo's that are in focus and that are an approriate shape for the page
- a layout that follows the rule of thirds for composition
- An appropriate type face that follows
- A house style
- Follow the conventions of the 3 colour rule and use colour that is appropriate for
-fonts
-background
- Careful where font is placed it must
-be clear from a distance
- It is import\nt to think carefully about how to use and intergrate
-text and language
-image
- Use appropriate indusrty logos and conventions, properly positioned
-date
-copy right
-titles
-artist name
DON'TS
- Stretch images, or this will make them out of focus
- Use layer styles
- Use unnecessary effects. Any effects used must suit the genre
- Place text across the artist's face
- Use a font simply beacuse you 'like it'
- Feel like you need a seperate phohto on every panel
